Community Support and Gentle Yoga for those therapists who are more intuitive, empathetic, and perceptive but may be struggling with overwhelm, anxiety, perfectionism or exhaustion.
High Sensitivity is a trait found in 15-20% of the population, characterized by deep thinking/processing, emotional responsiveness, heightened empathy and awareness of subtleties. Up to 50% of clients are Highly Sensitive, along with many therapists.
Each Highly Sensitive Therapist Gathering will begin with a brief check-in and time for self-reflection around a theme through journaling and discussion. We’ll then move into a gentle yoga class taught be a fellow psychotherapist. For those who wish to stay, we’ll reserve time for a community discussion following yoga.
A discussion to connect with other Sensitive Therapists and get support to navigate the demands of being a therapist who thinks and feels deeply.
A 75-minute welcoming class taught by a therapist and designed to ground, embody and sustain those who support others. (all levels welcome)
For our March Gathering, we’ll be mixing up our typical routine to create an intentional space for self-reflection and replenishment. Starting with a restorative yoga class, we’ll then move into a “self-care hour”. This is self-directed space for journaling, creating art, rest and/or meditation. Art supplies and guided prompts will be offered, if needed, but mostly you’ll be able to choose how you want to nourish yourself during this time. Our gathering will then close with a community circle.
We recommend that you wear loose, warm clothing for the restorative yoga class and bring any additional objects to help you feel most comfortable (blanket, slippers, etc). We’ll provide some art and writing materials, but feel free to bring your favorite supplies.

Bring a water bottle and a journal or notebook.
Yoga mats and all props will be provided, but you are also welcome to bring your own or anything you need to feel comfortable.
Do not eat or drink too much 30 minutes before arriving.
